Since October 7, Chicago has seen several pro-Palestine Protests. Palestinian people, activists, and pro-Palestinian supporters have been relentlessly participating to make their voices heard, with people from everywhere joining in.  Several students from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago have been an active part of the protests as well. They have organized their own boycotts, walkouts, and protest demonstrations.

On Nov.2, some of the students organized a walkout to protest the school’s silence on the genocide that is happing in Palestine. The walkout was on Nov 2nd and was held in the Pit in the 280 building and was attended by 300 students, according to the organizers. Students screen-printed posters and T-shirts, had soup,  and chanted for Palestine’s liberation.

On Nov.10 the student led another protest demanding the school to cut its ties with the Crown Family, one of the major donors of the school and the Art Institute of Chicago, who also owe a significant portion at General Dynamics, a military manufacturing company that supplies weapons to the state of Isarel.
